FALL OF DOLLAR ?
KNOW ABOUT DE-DOLLARISATION
The dollar is the only currency all over the world which is known as an international currency
Changes in trade are done through the dollar for decades. The dollar is ruling the world. Still, many countries have tried to dethrone the dollar as the global reserve currency for many decades for various reasons. DE-DOLLARISATION REFERS TO THE REPLACEMENT OF THE U.S. DOLLAR WITH OTHER CURRENCIES AS THE GLOBAL RESERVE CURRENCY.
The U.S. dollar became powerful in international trade due to historical factors such as the U.S. becoming stronger after the second world war global monetary system being introduced
which allows the U.S. dollar to become the world reserve currency globally.
Why there is a call for DE-DOLLARISATION?
The call for de-dollarisation was there because of overreliance on the U.S. dollar and the growing economic power of the emerging markets.
CONCLUSION
DE-DOLLARISATION presents opportunities for a more diversified and resilient global financial system, hence, developing countries like INDIA should adopt an approach towards de-dollarisation.
